All come at a great variety of hourly or daily rates. Sometimes they are free. It s worth checking before you make your hotel reservations.
and good company. You have to be fairly fit to handle the often- strenuous exercise of paddling for hours at a time. But the sheer vastness of the seascapes, the pristine beaches, and the crystal waters make this a one-of-a-kind experience. See pages 247-49 for details on the various outfitters.
On the far western shore of the island is Sandy Point, a tiny settlement beyond the salt flats where there is yet another colony of flamingos. It s an excellent place for snorkeling and wandering the lonely beaches.
