Grand Turk is where the government of the tiny island group has its headquarters. It s also the location of the capitol city, Cockburn Town. Cockburn, by the way, is pronounced Coburn. This town of 3,500 is a happening place. Grand Turk is not top of the list as far as tourism is concerned, but it is a little less expensive than its more popular neighbor, Providenciales.
